ZeoMAX Plus is a unique element intended for chemical
filtration of water in freshwater aquariums, paludariums,
aqua-terrariums and terrarium pools. It has a form of grit
made of specially selected zeolite ensuring very large sorptive
capacity.
How does ZeoMAX Plus work?
The specially prepared zeolite applied for production of Zeo-
MAX Plus possesses excellent sorptive properties. Owing to
this, it absorbs toxic nitrogen compounds dissolved in water. It
absorbs ammonia from water, and also binds and neutralizes
nitrite and nitrate ions dissolved in water. It protects fish from
harmful for them nitric substances and allows for limitation of
volume and frequency of water replacements.
Where and when is ZeoMAX Plus useful?
ZeoMAX Plus is perfect as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow
filters and internal filters suited to loose media. It is recommended
for all kinds of decorative freshwater aquariums.
How to apply ZeoMAX Plus?
ZeoMAX Plus is ready for use out-of-the-box and does not require
rinsing or any additional actions. The package content
should be poured into a filter basket or filter chamber. In order
to ensure optimum application results it is recommended to
place the ZeoMAX Plus element behind mechanical filtration
elements and in front of biological filtration elements.
How long does ZeoMAX Plus work?
The manner of operation of a ZeoMAX Plus element (sorption)
causes it to gradually fill up and wear. In order to retain optimum
filtration properties it is recommended to replace it at
least every 4 weeks.
